1.3 Broadcast law
Broadcast law is IP ( Intellectual property ) and Libel law ( printing false words that an damage a reputation ). Copyright law is to protect books, music, films, songs, photos, drawings and Libel law is to protect people. In the UK Broadcast is regulate by the Office of communications (Ofcom) since 2002. A TV and Radio broadcast provider need a license from Ofcom. Licenses are also required for other related services such as television. There is also a lot of radio licenses , for digital radio and community radio. Some services needs more than one Broadcast License to protect their activities. You should only copy protected by copyright with the copyright owner's permission. A copyright protected work can have more than one copyright, for instance, each song of one album can have different copyrights. Copyrights protect your original work and stops others for using it without your permission.
